On Turning 30

This has been one of the most memorable birthdays I’ve had. I mean, nothing can beat my 7th birthday at the beach house or the 8th birthday with the clown, but as an “adult” turning 30 was a blast! Certainly made the transition a lot less painful, since who likes enter a new age bracket?

My parents sent me this awesome cacti and succulent arrangement. It was such a sweet reminder of home in Arizona. I squealed with delight when I got it^_^ And the fact that it wasn’t the same ol’ flowers that just die in 3 days made me happy too. I still have the bamboo my dad got me 3 years ago.

I got lots of free goodies! Free drink at Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, an awesome coupon for breakfast at Mimi’s Cafe and I have a Cold Stone Creamery coupon which I have yet to use. It’s fun signing up to get free things like that!

I got great presents from my friends! A fun necklace which you can switch out the bottle cap, maneki neko hair pins, a hamburger patty maker (no more tiny fat patties!), iTune gift card which I bought a Metric and A Fine Frenzy album. I also got lots of cards too, which fill my mantel.

I got this great craft book from my brother, which inspires me to start getting crafty again. This will be great book to do something on my list!

I received some money from my parents and my in-laws and I wanted to buy something big and special so I got a nook! I’m so excited to start reading ebooks on it^_^

And my awesome husband Rob, not only gave my MINI a makeover with new stripes, but threw me a surprise party. I could just burst with the love and happiness I feel for what he did for me. Now if only he remembered to get me a card^_~ (kidding!!)
