Hello Hana

Meet Hana. She’s my Blythe doll that I got from Japan. She’s a Cassiopiea Spice Blythe, the only Blythe I really wanted to get. In fact, she was the last one, on display, at Kiddy Land. I did see her at a couple more other stores later. Oh well, didn’t want the risk of not getting her.

She’s my first Blythe doll: ) I don’t know if I’ll do any customizations on her, like a lot of people do. I’m afraid to do anything to her since she cost a lot of money. But we’ll see.
I do plan on making her outfits and accessories! And of course take plenty of photos.

I already got her another outfit. It’s a Re-Ment outfit and I just happened to get the one I really wanted. Re-Ment are toys usually miniatures of foods and such, and they come in a package where you don’t know what you’re getting. They make a few outfits that fit Blythe dolls.

Actually, I guess you can say I did do a small customization on her. I washed her hair so it could be a bit smoother and softer. I used the warm water and shampoo method. I used Aussie’s shampoo for oily hair which has a low PH. I do hope it turns out all right. Already I can see some of her waves are gone, but that’s ok. As long as it’s easy to brush and hangs/sits nicely. Even washing her hair makes me so nervous!!

After wash (still wet):

So, you’ll be seeing her around this blog more! I hope you enjoyed meeting her! By the way, Hana means flower in Japanese. I wanted a Japanese name since I got her on our trip and I wanted a name that didn’t sound too Japanese. Hana was also a character’s name of a show I watched on our last day in Japan.
